My Story
I am a current Ronald E. McNair scholar and Co-lab Manager of the Culture, Context, Health, and Identities lab at FIU. I am interested in global health and immunology. I want to bring awareness to issues that affect marginalized communities. While on this study-abroad trip, I hope to gain awareness on the healthcare system affecting individuals in India.

My research focuses on medical students' perceptions and attitudes toward the LGBTQ community. It is a mixed methods study that uses both quantitative and qualitative data. My sample includes medical students living in Mysore, India. The aim of this research is to examine the gap in the medical knowledge of healthcare professionals when providing care to LGBTQ patients.
